A Much Needed Handhold Position.

When going from cockpit to on deck in a seaway on a 440 there's a time when you get the feeling your in 'no man's land'.

It's stepping out of the aft cockpit and moving forward, my wife Vivien hung a rope there so she had a more confident and safe handhold in lieu of something more permanent.

Well i had it on my 'winter work' list and it's complete, i did a drawing and got it fabricated some 200 miles away and posted to our island berth. It fitted nicely and works a treat.

Just an idea for you if you find there's a need to 'get a grip'!

Re: A Much Needed Handhold Position.

LMAO next move ashore is the 'Dunrooten' village and i'm not going there for a while.
When i sail i like it to be in what i consider to be the best i can at the time, my first cat broke in half teaching me why some boats are bargains!!!!

Just winter amusement and refitting, sharing so others can have a go them selves if so inspired.

Cheers Frank

Frank, what are you going to do when you run out of projects???

Of course if you'd bought a 420 you might have avoided some of your mods. Sorry but I couldn't resist having a dig !!!!

We've done a fair few projects on our 420 as well but nothing to compete with you, Frank.

Re: A Much Needed Handhold Position.

LMAO Bob this is what happens when winter boredom hits, next winter i'm going to look for some construction project work, oil and gas etc.

But we leave Croatia in 2 weeks bound for Greece, we slip there then cruise and enjoy.

Wonder if 'Twixter' got sold?

Cheers mate.
