anchor roller on 440

Just completed a survey on a 440 - went well, but one of the issues was the roller on the platform that leads the anchor chain along the platform.
The holes holding the rod of the roller are worn and the roller now sits on the platform and doesn't "roll". The chain is now damaging the platform as you lower and raise it.

Has anyone experience this and found a fix for it ? Not so much replacing the roller itself, but the holes for the rod and how to ensure the whole thing holds up over time.

Re: anchor roller on 440

1) Install larger SS bushings
2) Fill the holes with thickened epoxy and fiberglass and re-drill

Both methods ar DIY
