General Info: Catamaran is Worth How Much?

Very little info there. Custom build? Designer? Fiberglass or Aluminum? Twin 100 hp diesels... wow... that's big for a 50 ft cat. Custom boats are seldom worth what a production boat would be. But sometimes custom things built with "no expense spared" can be great. Tough one. It doesnt even say how old it is....

One might guess by finding the value of an equivalent year and size Lagoon. Take 80% of the asking price for the selling value of that, and then figure 50-66% of that Lagoon value for this one if it's custom. that would be "throwing a dart".
You coiuld pay a surveyor to just appraise it rather than a complete survey. The appraisals stated in many surveys are replacement value I think (?)... but that's a whole differnt thing than value.

It is worth the most that someone is wiling to pay for it. I know that does not give you a quantitative firm value, but I do think it gives you the idea is not a hard number but a range.

There must be a number of sales of the same or very similar boat in the same geographic area to start narrowing the value of a boat. The more sales there are, the narrower the price range.

That is a Kurt Hughes design. Probably worth $400-500,000 in good shape and equipment.

Lagoon is selling good, this summer that will have
L380 hull #730 floating
L39 hull #61 goes to Danmark in may
L400S "Monte" is getting his new # 386
L450 Hull # 360 will float this summer.
L52 hull ????
L 560 hull ??
L620 hull ??

Last year Lagoon sold 25% more boats then the year before.
Cats are doing well.

I don't see how it is possible to have a "refit" cost $250,000 on a 50ft cat and not have new engines or decent electronics. That chart plotter looks like the original Raymarine 435. I am wrapping up a refit on a Leopard 45 that includes two new engines, all new standing rigging, SSB install, new chart plotter, radar, new dinghy & outboard, ground tackle, watermaker, liferaft, haul-out to do bottom paint, compound & wax, rebed the keels and a whole host of smaller jobs and I didn't spend anywhere near a quarter million dollars. To give you an answer to your question, I think the boat you're looking at is worth $350k +/- $25k.
