Re: Its finally done! - Lagoon 450 F purchase complete

No Idea what you guys are referring to . Seems 'TV' is a touchy subject on a boat !. (Us, we just watch a lot of DVD's, not actually "TV".

As for Microwave. Yes, we will go with a decent one. Always had a good convection MW oven. Just working out if I can use a normal house one, with the way the ventilation seems to be done and if it will fit in the box.
Given the quantity of 240V appliances already on board, another isn't going to matter !. (This is our home, and my office, its likely to be equipped as such !)

Regards

Mark.

If you want to run the micro wave without needing to start the generator you need to make sure the inverter has the capacity to do so, or else you will need a low power microwave or a new high power inverter.

Quote "Seems 'TV' is a touchy subject on a boat !." Then what about big kick ass sound systems.

I was never very happy with the Volume or should I say lack of it from The Bose Sound system fitted to my Lagoon.

Problem solved 500 watts, designed for audiences up to 300 people, at 2 meters tall fitting is proving a tad difficult.

LOL....

Anyway, the maintenance list is slowly growing. Having roller reefing system sticking issues right now. (Facnor LS 200). Thought it was halyard wrap, but fixed that, and still sticking. More reading to do !.

Before you attempt anything brave or expensive, try hosing the furler with a good jet of fresh water while someone else furls or unfurls the foresail. Salt sometimes dries inside the furler and causes it to seize or stick. After hosing, let it dry and then try silicone spray.
Good luck.

What is a port maneuvering winch? Where are they located? When are they used? I've seeen pads on the deck and was wondering what option they were intended for. Chris

"Manuvering Winch" (prob NOT its correct name) I'm referring to the smaller winch on the port side of the fly bridge & next to the larger Genoa Winch. Main lines going to it are the Genoa Halyard, Topping lift and one of the Reefing lines from memory.

Not sure what 'pads' you are refering to ?

Regards

Mark.

Re: Its finally done! - Lagoon 450 F purchase complete

Look at a Spectra Newport 400 Mk-ii Water maker for the boat.

Anyone fitted one, or similar size Specta ? looking for suggestions on where to put it. right now I'm thinking of squeezing it in under the Port floor, or possible under the Port Fwd bunk, in front the the A/C unit. (or a mix of both).

We seem to have a spare thru-hull in the middle of the Port side, near the bilge which can prob use as inlet.

Note: I have 4 water tanks, and I want to put the WM INSIDE the boat. I do NOT want to put it in the outside lazzertte locker where some of the agents/people in Turkey seem to be wanting to fit water makers. (That seems stupid to me. Easily damaged by gear going in there, waste of a locker, and makes WM susceptible to salt water damage).

Thoughts ?

Re: Its finally done! - Lagoon 450 F purchase complete

I have an Aquabase 105 fitted in the port locker opposite the generator in the forward seating area. It seems well out the way with the membranes mounted high on the transverse bulkhead.

The locker holds mostly cushions so the risk of damage is minimal.

And thus get to get to keep all 4 water tanks
