General Info: Keys for Sliding Door

I have a Lagoon 400, but I think this may apply to other models as well. My 400 has a "City" brand lock on it. I have a single key, and would like to have more. Local locksmiths are unable to help. I've been unable to find a website for City brand locks.

Has anyone ordered replacement keys, and if so, was this through Lagoon, City, or another source?

Hi Tom, We also have a City brand door lock. Our spare key is cut on a "Silca" brand blank from Italy. This company also does key blanks for French cars. Ours has "YA5R" on the back. (DaVinci code?) Perhaps a locksmith could source a blank from this company?

Thanks Tuskie, that's a good lead. When we first tried getting copies made, the local hardware stores didn't recognize "City."

Not sure where you are, if in US, there is a place in NJ that makes these keys. Don't have the name off the top of my head, but might be able to find it.

A link in the US would be great (we're in Florida). At this point, it would be mainly for the benefit of future readers of this thread. Using tuskie's hint, we found a locksmith in the UK who would either supply blanks or cut keys. Since we had the key code, we ordered several copies, at about $5 US, plus about $5 shipping. One update: the company in the UK did not recognize the code on my key. They may still be able to send me key blanks to have them cut locally.
