Lagoon 420 deck hull separation

Had major water ingress on Lagoon 420 during BVI/Hampton trip. Discovered the hull deck joint on the port hull is separating (deck is very springy and clearly not connected to hull) so when a large wave slapped, in came the ocean. I am assuming i need to rip the chrome molding and plastic trim off the side to evaluate how to repair (see pictures below where chrome/plastic has detached from lower edge). Does anyone know how the deck is supposed to be attached to the hull, surely not just the chrome trim screws. Would like to know what I will be facing before I take it all apart. Thanks.

Looks like maybe the joint is glued. Surprised theres no screws there.

Re: Lagoon 420 deck hull separation

Sounds similar to a problem on another Lagoon 420 that CF member 44C reported that sailed into Queenslands east coast at Bundaberg.

Is it a common problem with the Lagoon 420 ?
