Lagoon water tank inspection port

Hi Is there a special tool to open the red inspection port of the water tanks, if not what is the trick to get them open? (Lagoon 450)

So, I presume this unscrews anticlockwise and the screw driver blade won't poke a hole in the lid or break it. I have tried a high degree or force trying to use a wrench head to unscrew but it keeps slipping out. The previous owner said he couldn't,t unscrew them either, if the only resort is a hammer, I will give it a go.

Yes they can be tight from th factory. They do turn anticlockwise. You can also try a wrench handle laying in the slot to turn it with a screwdriver held vertically in the other end of the slot to lever against. If you can hold it with pressure like that someone else can tap the side of the screwdriver to try break the seal. It's a bit tricky but after you do it once it's ok because you don't need to tighten them so much!

I wound up using a small piece of wood and a hammer.. tapping (hitting) outer most edge of each slot a few times than moving on to the next, till she came loose...

Re: Lagoon water tank inspection port

Is anyone able to get me the dimensions of the X slot (A and B in the photo)? While I have access to good tools I'd like to carve a hardwood block that matches the X so that I can get a wrench into it. I've tried using a wrench just in the cap and I've come close to punching through the plastic.
