450: Lewmar Hatch for Forward Bow Compartment

We need to replace one of our forward bow compartment Lewmar hatches. I can barely see on the acrylic that there is a stamp with info (serial # I think) but we can't make it out. In order to buy replacement (from Defender) we need to know the type, size, and model #. Has anyone ever replaced one of these hatches and know which one we need?

You can take detailed measurements and forward them to Lewmar, they should help you. We have experienced good response from them to questions.

There is a serial number under the rubber seal near one of the corners.

From the Beneteau parts site the part seems to be a Medium Profile Size 60. Or it might be the low profile one, you will have to measure the height.

If all you want to do is replace the acrylic you can send the hatch to Select Plastics who will install new marine grade acrylic lens, seal and gasket and lead time is 6 weeks.

BTW, the acrylic can be polished to look like new.

Mauripro.com - emailed them the Lewmar serial number, they did the rest. Flush hatch showed up well packaged, with all the hardware which surprised me as I thought I purchased only the "glass". Very responsive company and pricing was good.
