Masthead wind sensor on Lagoon 42

Does anybody know the make and model of the masthead sensor on a 2018 Lagoon 42. I need to urgently replace mine as the wind direction arm was knocked off by a crane lift. All the navigation and sailing electronics on board are B&G so more than likely this is also B&G but which model?

It will be the model that was installed on your boat.

Sorry, but no-one can tell you what you’ve got.

Re: Masthead wind sensor on Lagoon 42

I'm sure Lagoon has standardized on a particular device and are not selecting at random. My boat S/N is in the 300s if this helps. I'd like to have one trip up the mast simply to replace it. The reason I posted the question is to elicit community information which I think is the primary purpose of this site. In any case if somebody knows the answer I'd appreciate it. If you don't, no need for banal responses. Thanks.

look in the network device source list in your chart plotter. even if the device is no longer working the model number and other stuff will still be there

Re: Masthead wind sensor on Lagoon 42

For B&G wind sensor installed in 2018, it was almost surely a Nmea2000 unit. Basically, any B&G N2K model will be plug and play compatible.

The other more remote possibility is that it is a B&G 213 MHU. these were higher end and require the installation of the pricey H5000 computer system. I do not think they were used on Lagoons...

Perfect, thanks. B&G 508. Why didn't I think of that. Hiding in plain sight. Thanks again. Exactly what I needed.

That's what my circa 2018 B&G wind transducer is as well. They tend to last about two years.

Re: Masthead wind sensor on Lagoon 42

Quick update. Although WS508 is the unit listed in the B&G data base on the chart plotter the actual unit used is the WS608. My unit was damaged beyond repair so I'm awaiting a replacement...backlogged like a lot of other stuff. Unfortunately it is not cable/plug compatible with the WS310, confirmed through B&G support. The 608 replaced the 508 taking care of some failure issue. Thanks to all for the advice received here.
