440: Raymarine E120 chart plotter screen illumination failed

I have E120 Chart plotters in both the saloon Nav station and at the helm. The helm unit is fine, but recently the screen in the Nav station below has no brilliance but in direct sunlight through the cabin window or with a strong torch, the screen is readable and all functions appear correct. I am advised the fix is simple enough but the parts generally need to be ordered in ahead of the boat arriving anywhere. We are headed for Jamaica from the Turks & Caicos islands in about 14 days so am hoping someone has had a similar experience and can perhaps recommend a Raymarine dealer in Jamaica? A web search has been largely unsuccesful.

I am being serious when I ask if it has gone on to "night" mode? Happened to me a couple of times and I could not see the screen in the daylight to change it back. Solution was to turn it off holding the power button for 5 seconds. Turn on by holding the power button for a few seconds and wait a minute. Then press the second from the right bottom hard key to toggle to day mode. Try it with your other plotter? Dave

Thats my thought to.. screen may have accidentally been turne down. Happened to me. Wasnt in night mode just turned down. Hope it is.
