Swimming platforms design

Dear College,
Greetings to all mariners on the pages of this forum. And sorry for my English, it's not my native language. 
I would like to discuss one aspect of design of modern power catamarans. This is swimming platform.
As is known swimming platform on the most power catamarans are separated on two parts. The size of this swimming platform is limited by size of transom space of each hull. At the same time, are known some design with a continuous platform from starboard to port side . As an example – Lagoon Power 43/44. From my point of view it is quite obvious and very convenient solution. And I'm trying to understand why such a good decision has not met wide use. What, dear college, do you think in this regards?
