Yes this is a concern. I would have thought that with the exhaust being ejected outside and with a good flow of cooler outside air over the engine it would have been fine. If the lazarette door is open I would think it would all run cooler but then there is the noise issue if the lid is open..

Definitely food for thought.

They still have there place I think. Depends on the load and usage profile.

I do agree however that with 48v inverters and now cheap LiFePo4 - one can do things a bit differently compared to yesteryear.
