Advice: Inverter/Charger/MPPT

Currently have 2 285 W solar panels going into 2 Cheapo 20W MPPT controllers and a 40A cristec (stock OEM for lagoon) charger feeding 3 140 AH wet cells.

I have no inverter, I would like to put about a 2kw inverter on. For simplicity in the wiring, it would be easiest to get an inverter/charger. Would keep the cristec as a spare. Also am thinking whatever brand , maybe I should upgrade the controllers. I also think I will need new batteries this year or next, I am on year 3. I just daysail and coastal cruise, nothing more than a week, and usually the solar is topping it up. Have all LEd lighting, refrig works ok. I While I read all about Li, not sure it makes $ sense to do anything but replace, though if I could get another 50 to 100AH capacity, up from 420 to 5-600, that would be better.

Looking for recommendations for brands and models. Xantrex, Magnum, Victron, Morningstar, Bluesky, etc. Lots of choices, I am hoping to get some real world data from the collective brain on the forum.

We have had excellent service from our Morningstar controller...I can recommend one.

Re: Advice: Inverter/Charger/MPPT

I installed a xantrex Prosine 2.0 2000w/100 amp with remote panel and hardwired into the boat AC. Very happy with it. Be aware that when you put a 2kw inverter in that you have the potential to draw 130 or more DC amps and size your cabling accordingly. The charger will also cut in at a full 100 amps. It is highly customizable for battery type, charging characteristics and inverter functions. We use it to run a drip coffee maker (carafe, no hotplate). That draws 85 amps for 10 minutes. Currently have 125 amp alternator, 2 4D AGM, group 31 start battery and planning to add solar panels.

We are using a Studer XTM 2000/100.
Very happy with it also.

the victron and magnum are both very good. xantrax had a bad rep a few years back. I hear they fixed some stuff. not sure.
