The ARS-5 is a big upgrade from the Amptech reg & the MC-614 an upgrade from the ARS-5. For the price difference the MC-614 is well worth it.

Check out a local alternator repair shop, they may have all kinds of pulleys that may fit.

Found an online source for a two groove idler pulley. $556. Not going this route.

Found a serpentine belt conversion online for $409 that looks like it may work. Will dive on engine tomorrow to see about getting that to fit. Will buy the Balmar if it will (from MaineSail of course) and keep the Amptech regulator as a backup. I will then have two regs and two alternators.

Will be nice to rid the engine space of the dreaded black dust.
