Alternator for Perkins Prima 50 diesel Engine??

The Alternator on my Perkins Prima 50 in my 1991 Beneteau 41S5 does not charge. Does anyone here know the proper replacement and what is the correct wiring diagram for it? (PS I dont want a Balmar).

They are quite robust items so have you checked all the connections?

Photo the existing connections first and take one wire off at a time to clean.

However, if that doesn't work then something like this which I have just fitted. I replaced my 50A 32 yr old alternator with a 100A after market replacement for £160,that's way cheaper than any manufacturer will charge me. These guys are in the UK and will probably ship, but must be something similar in the US. There is even a wire fitted to the brush if you want to fit an external regulator.

Pics of that unit does not square with the needed 3 lug type my perkins Prima 50 needs. It has a 3 lug connection to engine. Thanks The 90 amp one from parts4engines does .

I ordered a new alt from a place in Miami for $70, Fits perfect and now charges batts at 13.4 Volts a happy ending.
