Alternator Swap

Hi, Can anybody help me? I would like to replace a 50a Valeo 4 terminal alternator (stock for a Volvo TAMD41) with a 100a Prestolite 2 terminal one. The D+ terminal seems to be a 8v supply(?) through the W terminal to the instrument panel. My apologies if this photo is a little large.

Pelican Technical Article: Alternator System Troubleshooting
The article in the link explains that the D+ and B+ are common but the D+ is of lower output capacity.
