Balmar MC-614 programming question

I'm programming my regulator based on various posts from Maine Sail. I was able to program all the settings as recommended, except one: F1c (Float time). Balmar manual says that the available range is 6 minutes to 12 hours, with MS's recommendation as 12 hours.

But I could only set the regulator at a max of 60 intervals (6 hours). Also, as an experiment, I was only able to set a minimum of 2 intervals (12 minutes). Neither of these match the manual - I did not experiment with the other time settings to see if their min/max settings matched the manual.

Anybody else seen these limits for F1c? Any idea what's going on?

Re: Balmar MC-614 programming question

Hi Rusty,

I have a 614 too but can't remember if I ran into that issue when I programmed it last year...

However, I have always found Balmar's tech support to be exceptional, so I recommend you give them a call.

Cheers!

-Bill

Re: Balmar MC-614 programming question

They were very responsive earlier this year when I had a question about the readings on my 614 so I agree that sending them an email is the way to go.

Re: Balmar MC-614 programming question

I talked to Balmar tech support today. They said what I am seeing is probably due to an undocumented firmware change. Gave me some good pointers on programming too.
