Battery Charger dead, where is Rich when ya need him?

Well, here is the conditions:

Brand new Xantrax Truecharge -40 installed about 1.5 to 2 years ago.
Good installation, good connections, no corrosion or chafe on wires.

Installed optional temp sensor and optional remote panel.

It all worked great untill a few days ago.
Noticed that the noise and the light display does not come on when I flip the breaker to ON....

Instead I have no lights on the charger and only one lonely light on the remote panel when I turn the system on.

(Not even the "ready" light)

Checked the book and the closest I could get was that a breaker or fuse inside the charger needs changing, contact a proffesional..

The battery temp is 96 F, the cut-out should be 140 F as per the book.
No shorts..No new equipment or new wireing that could have damaged anything.

No changes to the electrical system at all, the stupid thing just died.

Advice is rewarded with rum and cokes..Don't be shy, speak up...

These units have had a string of failures, we have had several repaired. It is not user repairable unless you have the background. We have taken them to the local Xantrex service shop here. They have also stated that quite a few have failed lately. BTW, we don't consider 1.5 to 2 years brand new. If it is 1.5 you might still be under warranty.

Sorry, I tried to say that I did not buy it used. Bought it brand new 'bout a year and a half ago or so.

(Guess I have to spell everything out loud and clear.)

Just now took the thing apart and checked every fuse in there: They are all good.

Guess I have to pull out the paperwork and look for the warranty information and the date I bought it...Pain in the arse...

I have been through 2 Xantrex 20+ chargers in 6 years. The first lasted only 4 months, the second 5 years. I contacted Xantrex and they told me that they no longer repair these models. I opened it up and all of the fuses were good. I gave up on the product and now have a ProMariner 30 amp charger, 5 months into it now...so far no problems.
