Belt Drive Inverter Generators

Has anyone tried removing the petrol motor from a Honda (eu20i) or similar invertor generator and belt driving it from a diesel main engine.

might have a problem there as the armature has no intermediate bearing.

Re: Belt Drive Inverter Generators

I would think a big honking alternator in front of another equally honking inverter would do a better job without destroying a perfectly usable and small Honda!
