Clean, repair, weathered surface of flexible solar panel to make more transparent

One of my panels is going from transparent to translucent. Any suggestions for a temporary fix? I was thinking of silicone spray or some such thing. Basic boat wax isn’t doing much.

Disclaimer: I don't know what the surface of your panels is. I don't know the long-term effects of polishing; it may strip off any remaining UV protective coating.

I've had very good luck polishing old acrylic (Plexiglas) whose surface has become cloudy, with 3M Finesse-it II. Plan on putting in some work with a power buffer.

After getting some ideas elsewhere, I tried 3M Heavy Duty Restorer & Wax, paying close attention to the directions. It is looking good. I’ll reconnect it today and see what output I get.

Cleaning with the heavy duty cleaner and wax did the trick. No downside so far…
