Cleaning paint off flexible solar panels

We had our masts painted in La Paz and despite covering them with plastic between the wind and the ridiculous amount of paint they dripped, some got on the panels.

Does anybody have any experience with using acetone on these panels? Will it hurt them? I used denatured alcohol and it got 90% of it off, but this last bit is not coming.

I'm guessing the paint was thinned with some kind of harsh stuff so it may be a moot point and better cleaned off than left on?

Any thoughts before I try it?

Re: Cleaning paint off flexible solar panels

Look for a product called "Goof Off" Try that. It removes most paints without harming most plastics.
(always test in a small area...)

Acetone attacks most plastics.

Re: Cleaning paint off flexible solar panels

FWIW, we find that periodically (say, once a year) using RejeX on the Solbian/etc. semi-flexible panels really helps to keep anything from sticking to them (bird poo, paint, etc.)
