Re: Converting a Fluorescence light to LED

The main reason for the conversion was that the electrical components of the fluorescents were burned out. It was most cost effective to use the LEDs. This was a fast simple conversion the fact that there is a net power savings is a bonus but in this case not a controlling factor. The resulting light output was also quite satisfactory. All in all this turned out to be a good solution to a problem that could have been more expensive to get around.

Re: Converting a Fluorescence light to LED

Nice to know I am "so wrong" lol Oh well it happens. I was not able to locate the lights and I wonder what you paid for them? The cost to convert these was $32 per light including labor. Anyway no need to send the info as these lights are already done but thanks anyway. I know this may not be a perfect solution (is there ever a perfect solution?) But I offer it simply to help others that may wish to follow a similar path.
