If alternator is charging the 12v and the dc-dc charger is charging the Lifepo4 pack, should charger be isolated or non isolated?

Mongo_at_sea, my renogy dcdc charger is self isolating meaning its not on or charging unless it is activated by either a connected toggle switch or wired to say the fuel pump relay thats on only when the key is
