DC to DC step up - 12 to 24 V @1.0 A

Has anyone found a simple and inexpensive solution to convert 12 V DC to 24 DC at max 1 amp? The purpose is to power decent quality flat panel LED lighting. Would something like the product below from Amazon do the job? Does the output voltage require a controller to set output at 24V? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Eiechip dc to dc Step up Boost Converter, MT3608 with Mico USB, DC Voltage Regulator, Step Up Boost Converter Power Supply, Boost Module 2V-24V to 5V-28V 2A.

If you have two batteries, you can locally put them in series rather than parallel. You'll have to separate them for charging.

But there are lots of12v LEDs out there. Last fall I upgraded the forward cabin and the steerage lighting on our boat with these. They can be put in bunches of configurations, and greatly improved our previous quartz-halogen puck light lighting.

Converting is a bit wasteful of energy, but sometimes it’s what you have to do. Not as cheap as the Amazon products, I’ve had good luck with CUI DC-DC converters:

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...ygHZ1YN4yvjxQA

Takes a 9-36V input, 24V, 30W output, 90% efficiency. They make a shielded version that costs about twice as much. These will give you much cleaner DC if you add input and output capacitors as shown on the data sheet, which increases cost slightly.

I use this to provide DC power at 24v for a USB-C outlet.
