I agree very expensive. I have just done all my boat in led for about 100$
True not colour changing but including a couple of bulkhead reading lamps.
Try Ebay. Others are available!

Re: Flush mount 12v LED Downlight

"Not quite sure where you get the idea of several inches deep."
I didn't say they would be several inches deep, but that they MAY be several inches deep. If you look for 12v flush downlights, ~15w AND rated as being the equal of 100W incandescent bulbs, they may be 4" across and 3" deep, in order to get the spread and to get the mass of the heat sink.
If you go for something much less powerful with just three COB LEDs mounted on a flat panel and no heat sink above it, it may only be an inch thick, yes. To me a downlight means BRIGHT and focused, not just a light that faces down. And probably has a good 3' spread, minimum, on what it is lighting up. To others, it may be a lot more--or less.

Re: Flush mount 12v LED Downlight

Thanks for all the replies.

After a bit more research I do quite like the look of these :

NEW Lumitec Halo Flush Mount Down Light White Finish 3-color Red/blue Non | eBay

They do Red and White but no integrate switch - they a surface mount not flush (which is fine)

Or this one which has switch built in:

Lumitec Aurora LED Dome Light - White & Red Output - 12V

Anyone tried em?

Re: Flush mount 12v LED Downlight

Al-
FWIW those are rated as four watt lamps. What I'd lump in with "puddle lights" as opposed to true downlights. Among the same ebay items you'll see the real downlights I'm referring to, typically 15 watts (4x more light) and yes, 3-4" deep instead of the trim little panels that these less powerful ones are.
Four watts can still be a bright light, relatively. But you might want to make sure that's going to be bright enough for you. Good over a counter, not so good over the sink. Certainly nice and slim though.

Also check at semi parts places. As in commercial trucks. Those guys have lots of options.
