Fourwinds II Blades

Searching for two Fourwinds II blades on an early 1990s unit.

If I cannot find them, could 5" be removed from the tips safely? I'm told it will take a diamond-tipped saw and that the resulting weight of both must be exactly the same. Advice?

Re: Fourwinds II Blades

Hi Mark,

I have a fourwinds II. I see no need for a diamond tipped saw as they look to be simply fiberglass. why do you want to cut the blades down. Let me guess, your blade hit something and lost about 5 inches? If you cut them down, you will lose quite a bit of power. Of course with no blades, you have no power so I guess that makes sense. I have spare blades that I might be willing to sell if I can find where I stored them.

By the way, do you have a manual? I can't find mine and I disconnected teh wiring without labelling them. Now I wish to reconnect everything but without the manual I can't see how to wire in the mercury switches for the diverter control panel. Let me know if you have a manual please.

Good Luck,

Walley

Re: Fourwinds II Blades

Hi Walley,
Thanks for your reply. I have a complete manual (in good shape!) for the Four Winds II and III. The Table of Contents is 4 pages long. Shall I try to scan and send these pages to you so that you can choose what pages you need?
I would be interested in your spare blades if you find them!

Best to continue this via email: mmdavies67@comcast.net.
We live in Cambridge, MA and Harpswell, ME.
Thanks again,
Mark
