The simple truth is that it is really a non issue. We used our 1000 for years without a jumper with absolutely no adverse affects to the boat or the systems. It is more a "feel good" fix IMO. Chuck

One thing is for sure: those of us with an isolation transformer can just plug in anything that gives power; there's no reverse polarity or ground issues at all. Those without isolation transformer are, as usual, <s>frakked</s> in a confusing situation
