grounding plate

so got in a conversation the other day about bonding and grounding plates. my boat has just one metal below the waterline, Aquamet 22 (prop shaft and rudder stock) kiwi prop hub is 316 investment casting with composite blades. thru-hulls are marelon. no ham/single side band. anchor chain is isolated. so other than a path for lightning im wondering about the need for an external plate?
