I know there is plenty of smart people here. Tell me why this is a poor design.

From what I see:
Pros:
- no exposed blades means its safe around sails. Hoist and forget it.

- Could be mounted between two torqued lines like what UMA was looking for.



Cons:
- Fixed sized makes PITA to store.
- Efficiency will be less than traditional systems.
