Hearing "click" when connecting battery cable

I've noticed that when I connect the positive on my starter battery, I hear a click - somewhere in the area of the solenoid. Is this normal?

Engine is a 3GM30F. Not having any starting issues. Traced out the cables and don't see any obvious problems.
