Heatsink for wind generator

Hi all,

I bought a used Rutland 913 wind generator and, as I didn't have the controller, I ordered this one.

Could anyone let me know if I'll need a heat sink on top of that?

Thanks

Re: Heatsink for wind generator

That does have fins for a small heat sink built in and the "newer" 913 controllers have similar heat sinks.
Possibly, one issue w/that controller is it appears to for a 3 wire/phase (AC) input while the output of the 913 is only a 2 wire DC. Maybe someone on CF knows the work around for it.

Edit: this is the controller we have for our 913
This one would possibly work w/o the bells and whistles.
