I haven't plugged in since summer died down. The 3kwh was from sanding and cutting. My zinc is happy with this arrangement too!

Re: How Many KW's R U Using?

Yeah! It's got to be that heater. It's an 1800W oil heater that I've kept on a medium setting, which has kept the boat at 60-65º F. I turned the thermostat way down today.
Our weather has averaged in the upper 40's daytime, upper 30's night time, most of this past month. I just want to keep the boat at about 45º now. It's too costly to keep it any higher.
But I have been spending more time on the boat when it's warm. Actually, I don't want to leave but I'm still rebuilding/upgrading and need materials/parts/tools. Will be done soon though.

316 kW at home, but mainly lights, computers, fridge, etc., no heating. Even 1800 watts run 24/7 at full tilt should only be 1296 kW for 30 days. Hard to believe you're using that much.

At home, use approx. 600kw per month averaged over a year of bills. Something seems very strange with your slip bill.

Del,
Our whole house including dock power for another boat on our dock(ours runs on solar alone), a well insulated spa on the deck, big fridge/freezer, a separate chest freezer, my business and all other household uses only draws about an average of 1kwh, i.e.24kwh/day.

You're getting hosed, no doubt.
