How to close fuse holder
I have this fuse holder. Is there a trick to closing this? I can not get it to close - and I'm not exactly weak. It's not threaded. From what I can see, you press it together until it is closed - ring on one part fits into slot on other.

I can not get it to go together.

Are you sure that you are using the correct fuse? There are differences in fuse construction depending on voltage, amps, and weather ac or dc.

Try a tiny dab of silicon grease (DC4) or lube of your choice on the ring area.

FYI - I've tried closing wthout the fuse with no luck. I'll try the lub

Check that the metal from the previous fuse is not in place still blocking the new one sliding into its place

Do you have another fuse holder on the boat that's still intact? Have a look there.

Maybe a retaining clip broke off when you last opened this one?
