How to remove bullet style readin lights on a Hunter 33?

I have a 2005 Hunter 33 with swiveling reading lights. I can't figure out how to remove them? There are no visible screws holding the base to the ceiling. The base doesn't seem to twist to remove. I am guessing the base may need to be pried down? I don't want to risk breaking the light as it works well, I just need to get at the wiring behind the light.

A photo would help. Hunter, like most manufacturers, changes up the cabin lights they use often.

Have you tried a small counter-clockwise twist and then pull. Some have three tabs that slide into three grooves then twist to lock. Search Hunter Owners Forum for some examples.
