Installing an inverter on alloy catamaran.

Where would be the best place to 'ground ' an inverter on an aluminium catamaran. Straight to the hull? All electrics on the cat are above earth including the engines.

Re: Installing an inverter on alloy catamaran.

I'm no expert marine electrician and do not know what is "best". However, I did not 'ground' my inverter to anything on my aluminum boat. I have not 'burnt' any holes in my hull nor have I been electrocuted...........yet.

Re: Installing an inverter on alloy catamaran.

the chassis ground goes to battery neg. this is for any boat.

if you are in north america you should also have the battery neg and AC ground joined together.
