Insulating flexible solar panels

I have several solar panels flexible plastic coated mounted to my cabintop.

I noticed the fiberglass underneath cracked, and discolored as if burnt.

Also the panels are hot to the touch during the day.

I'm looking at adding something under them to insulate from cabintop, maybe the corrugated plastic sheet used for signs.

Has anyone tried this.

Will is get too hot for the plastic?

Is there a corrugated sheet with bigger holes than the typical corrugated cardboard that has 2mm holes, something like 10mm?
