Inverter ??

Hi Friends,
Most likely the first of many posts as I help a mate
rewire his Irwin 44.
Plan is to keep it as simple as possible.
The boat has two aircon units that are to only be used at the
dock or with a future genset (we are in Florida)
Onboard is also a 2000 watt inverter/charger.
The plan is to not use any pass-thru circuits of the charger
and install a brand new AC panel with 7 breakers and a shore power/gen
interlock. Two of the circuits would be hard wired to the two
air con units, a third would be to the inverter/charger, the rest would be
allocated around the boat as courtesy outlets.
AC power would not be available
while under way except in an emergency in which the duplex outlet
directly on the inverter could be pressed into service.
The Aircon is rated at 9amps each. The problem is the Inverter.
I Cant seem to find its amp rating except in the manual it says it needs
a 30amp feed. Unit is a KISAE ABSO-SINEWAVE Inverter/Charger 2000W
IC22055.
While on shore power the KISAE would only be used as a battery charger
rated at 55 amps output.

SO The Question is Will a 30 amp shore power circuit be enough to make
this scenario feasible??

Second Question:
Do any of you out there know of a "Design Service"
that could take our requirements and design the system for us??
We are both able and have the fabrication experience to execute a plan
but are just not comfortable with the design phase.

DC is a bit more in our wheelhouse but i'm sure will have questions

Thanks in advance
Cheers and Fair Winds
Neil

Re: Inverter ??

55 amp charger would probably use around 7 amps. At full output. At the dock with full batteries it would be very small.

Use the inverter passthrough for your outlets.

30a 120 might be a bit small for 2 ac units. You won’t be able to run anything else.
