Is there harmful EMR from DC systems?

Only the OP thought that EMF from a DC circuit was a thing.
He was corrected more than a dozen times, then politely thanked all.

Don't forget that a pair of DC wires will produce opposing magnetic fields. the fields produced are generated according to the right hand screw rule; thumb of right hand in the direction of current flow and the curled fingers are in the direction of the magnetic flow so the positive and return wire cancel each other out mostly. Not to worry.
In 1983 I worked on a project with a paleo-geologist building a magnetically shielded room. We lined the wooden frame walls, floor and ceiling with mu-metal a special steel alloy that stops magnetic fields. The idea was to take rocks from various locations all over the earth and heat them up some (I don't recall how much) to eliminate the current magnetic field but leave some ancient magnetic field residue to determine the orientation of the rock and therefore the land mass from where it was taken. This was to determine the relative orientations and possibly the locations of land masses all those million years ago.

A "B Field (Magnetic) IS created from an AC current flow. This is how a transformer works. It just reverses with the HZ cycle.



The EE's can correct me if I'm wrong since I had the EE for non-EE's in college. Maybe it's one of those sqrt(-1) things.
