KISS Wind ?

Anyone know what's up with the company?

I sent them email three months ago with no response. Two months ago I filled out an internet order with my credit card and submitted it - no response. A month ago I emailed again asking (politely) if they were getting my emails... no response.

Are they still around?

Re: KISS Wind?

I've tried the email address at Wind Generators Kiss High-Output Wind Generator (kissenergy@netscape.net), as well as using the order form found on that site...

Re: KISS Wind ?

Doug who owns KISS in Trinidad has a habit of going off sailing on his boat now and then, and since it is a one-man operation you may have to wait until he gets back.
- - I know Doug personally and whenever I am in Trinidad pay him a visit and maybe get some spare parts for my KISS wind gen or pick some units and take them back to Grenada for customers there.
- - I am perplexed about Hotwire, as I have dealt with them for years before setting sail myself and always had good luck with them. It just might be an isolated incident in the linked report, or - who knows, things always change . . .

Re: KISS Wind ?

Well, my KISS came from Hotwire 10 years ago, and I had no problems with them, but that was 10 years ago. I have gotten replacement blades from them, think that was about 4 years ago, and also no problems.

That's not a ringing endorsement since I just haven't done a ton of business with them, take it for what experience I had.

Re: KISS Wind ?

I don't know Dream Catcher. I do know Hotwire. Dream Catcher's reported experience is completely out of character for Hotwire. I have had very good experience with them and their support.

Re: KISS Wind ?

I got my KISS from Hotwire seven years ago. The unit is still running flawlessly. When I first got it I thought I had a problem with the unit. Hotwire offered to send a new unit to the Bahamas when I called them. Further troubleshooting found a loose connection in the diode pack so I didn't need another unit but John's offer was an indication of the type of service they provided.
