LED replacement for 12v21c bulb

Hey there,

Does anyone know of a drop in LED replacement for a "12v21c" bulb? I'm converting my cabin lighting to LED and this is the one bulb I'm having a hard time finding an LED replacement for. Looking for something that's pleasing to the eye at 2700k or 3000k...

Does it say 'BA15a" or "BA15d" anywhere? That bulb looks to me like a standard (at least in the US) bayonet bulb.

I think I am purchasing the 23-LED Constellation Matrix to install in all my domes. I hesitate because I'm not sure if it will be too bright...

For what it is worth, MarineBeam makes quality gear. Perhaps at the higher end of the price point, but thus far they (nav lights) have been good to me.

I bought a dozen or so off of Ebay years ago cause I was trying to save a few bucks.
Turns out they are reversed polarity, I would have had to reverse the polarity on all of my fixtures.
I bit the bullet and bought Marine beams instead, their color temperature was correct and correct polarity, warm white as opposed to the harsh blueish white of most LED's.
I believe also many cheap LED's cause a lot of radio noise

The Sensibulb is one of the best, but not cheapest, LED cabin lights go'in. Adapters are available for bayonet bulbs like yours, just check if the base of the bulb has one contact or two. You can get them at SailorsSolutions.com.

Lunasea. That looks like a standard b15 socket. Is it 1 contact or two? Single socket are fewer in choice from the marine led suppliers.

We used a lunasea single socket for our reading lights. Didferent form factor with a short cable and flat panel led matrix.

We use cold white 3W for detail and 1W warm for ambience.

I just converted all of the indoor lighting on our Hunter Legend 40.5 to LED with good results.

G4 bulbs are available for $7.99 for 20; adapters are available for $15.98 for 5:

At these prices, you can keep ample spares. G4s are the lease expensive bulb type, and using a single bulb type makes inventory and replacement easier.

Awesome. Thanks so much everyone. I'm going to order a BA15d or two on Amazon and see if they fit. Sure look like they would.... I left the darn things on the boat down on the Chesapeake, so I'm trying to wild guess what might fit from here in NYC.

The only thing written anywhere on it is 12V21C. Here's another shot of it.

It looks a lot actually like a standard automotive tail lamp bulb...

Of course, I took 5 pictures of the darn thing and not one of the bottom so I can see the contacts on the bottom....

FWIW this is the old light fixture... Probably original circa 1982.

I have similar in my '83 Cooper Banner. They are the two contact type, but a pic of the contacts would help us with suggestions.
