For nearly all computer you get a 12V power supply cable for the car cigarette lighter eg all the apple ones.
No need to run the inverter. Or if you want to get a small 350-500W one for all the small device at the navstation or your workspace in an owner cat. Its standby power is less then 0.5A or <6W.

Re: maintaining constant 12 volts

Aliexpress.com DC converter. Cheap as chips. I use them for 19v laptops and 12v satellite receiver.
I used to make my own from LM296s, but they were fixed voltage.

When I had just two 98Ah AGM batteries in a single mixed bank, my chartplotters never blinked when I started my 21HP 3 Cylinder diesel. (One B&G chartplotter at the nav station and one SIMRAD at the helm plus two GARMIN MDFs.) I never started the engine with the laptop running as I don't use it for navigation.

Re: maintaining constant 12 volts

Thanks to" More" - I reached out to their tech support and the reply was: " The acceptable voltage range of Quieter 3C power interface is 12V-23V. And the total input power needs to be greater than 24W. " And since I have lithium, I should always be above 12 v.
