Marine electrician recommendation in Ft Lauderdale?

Hi-

We've got a new to us boat and some of the things the previous owner did to convert (sort of) from euro 230v to US 120v have us scratching our heads. I think we need an expert to take a look and make sure things were done properly. Can anyone recommend a marine electrician in the Fort Lauderdale area?

Thanks- Matt.

I recommend Ward's Marine Electric. Top drawer and have been in the area for two generations. Ward's Marine Electric

Indeed - though not cheap.

Not cheap and not readily available.... they are currently scheduling service appointments 3-4 weeks out.

Anyone know of a good independent electrician?

Re: Marine electrician recommendation in Ft Lauderdale?

OK, Plan B: go to the ABYC website and contact an ABYC Certified Electrician. Unfortunately this will take some effort on your part since the listing is by State...not even by zip code!! :-( Call a couple of them and discuss your project. This Certification does not guarantee anything more than the individual at least had the initiative to go through the certification process; hence the importance of talking over your project and see what kind of responses you get.
