MC-614 on twin engine catamaran

Is there a way of wiring a single MC-614 in a way to monitor and control 2 alternators? Sometimes used together, sometimes one at a time.

I'm looking to protect the alternators from overheating now that they are charging a LiFePo4 battery bank. And regulate the output voltage to fit the LiFePo4 charging profile.

But mostly the batts will be charged by solar array, so the alternators are just to top up in winter, and I don't really want to spend $700 (two MC-614s) on solving this problem when for $200 I can get a used small suitcase generator to top it up through the mains charger on cloudy days.

Suggestions welcome.

No. The MC614 cannot produce enough field current to drive two alternators.

buy 2 regulators and leave the unsafe gas portable gen at home. it has no place on the boat.

you're asking if your life is worth $200

The Balmar solution for twin engines is actually two expensive regulators plus a Centerfielder.
