Re: More than one Cable in a Cable Clam?

I just ordered two of the scanmar clams. I'll call that good.

Re: More than one Cable in a Cable Clam?

I spoke to scanstrut tech about doing this. They recommended freezing the disk to help make it drill better and try for no slits if possible. I’m glad that others have done this before with success.

Don’t know your application

The common deck waterproof pass thru for multiple cables is called a swan neck

Available in many sizes

Re: More than one Cable in a Cable Clam?

So funny to see old threads revived.

Cables were clamped, boat was launched, trip was made. Boat was sold three years ago. Somewhat happy living on land since then but I do pine occasionally for the water.

Sailed from Baltimore to New Brunswick Canada and back. It was a great trip.

The Scanstrut DS-Multi cable clams are designed just for this. I have 1 on each side of my arch and they seal around the solar cables, AIS antenna, GPS antenna, stern light, etc. Just put the puck in the freezer for a while before you drill the holes and it will cut cleaner. Just be aware at roughly $100 each they aren't the cheapest, but are by far the best looking and designed of the bunch!
