motor for water maker pump

I found a good plunger pump for a DIY watermaker but, no motor.
it is a B34 standard direct connection to a motor
I can't find any 110Volts AC for it or a 12 Volts DC ..
Probably 1 or two HP
all motors are European 220 AC...
If you know where I can find one , please let me know
Thank you
Gianfranco

Leeson makes them in 12V or 120V.

Re: motor for water maker pump

Before you pick a motor you need to accurately calculate the power required. Buy a motor too small, and it won’t work. Too large and you waste money and power. “About one or two horsepower” does not cut it.

The pump manufacturer will have pressure/flow/hp curves.

Re: motor for water maker pump

ok Thanks
I may just buy a motor here and use a coupling rather than direct mounting.
Pump is from China...

Re: motor for water maker pump

looks like once sorted all the problems with compatible connections .... the company sent me a different pump.
Better one but used double the power for double the flow that I don't need.
now my question.
this is a 3 KW pump. I must run it with a 1.5 Kw motor max...
will it run? Sure, will produce less water.
Need help with this one. Hate to return it. For what I pay I can probably sell it and buy it again.
it appears to be a GERMAN product.
