nauticapro 1240P battery charger

Tried to put the charger to equalization of the flooded batteries and got nothing. No led lit up. Followed the instruction in the manual and still nothing.
I noticed that on the panel for battery type it was lit for flooded but in the preset 2 column. Why is it not in the preset 1 column? Could this be the problem? Nothing in the manual mentions preset 1 or 2. I have no idea what is wrong or how /why it is in preset column 2. How do you switch to preset 1. Anyone have a similar problem? Do I have to do a factory reset?

Check that it is in bc (battery charger) mode when switched on and not in ps (power supply) mode. Press the arrow buttons during start up and the LED will progress round the various options.
