Old Kohler 7.5kv no AC

I have an old Kohler 7.5 genset in my 1989 Welcraft GrandSport.
Engine runs well although we have no AC going to the house .
Generator mechanic stated it needs a rectifier and transformer that is no longer available.
He also stated the parts are no longer available and doesn’t want try and source.
Does anyone have any ideas on sourcing old Koehler gent parts or is it possible to retrofit a generic new controller?
I am an auto mechanic with some electrical experience.
There is 110v in the controller wiring ahead of a transformer.
Any help would be appreciated trying not to replace entire Genset

To help with your interesting first post, the forum need more information about the model number and if possible serial number of the generator set , as there are many Kohler models.

Please confirm the motor controller type and that all the speed control systems are functioning.

Also in your case, critical information from your alternator nameplate, to enable recommendation of possible generic parts. Read the nameplate and then generate a table with the following information and post again. Others with the required knowledge may then join the thread
