Power Transfer Switch stuck on Gen pos

The Shore / Gen transfer switch on my electric panel won't move from Gen after using the unit last night. Gen runs OK but even with the switch now stuck in Gen there is no power to the boat CB on gen unit not tripped. Notably the Reverse Polarity light now seems illuminated! Not sure how this could suddenly happen at anchor...I had just successfully used the generator and was powering down at the time. ANY THOUGHTS! Just entered Alaska SE and really would like to have gen power available. Thanks all

What make/model, or type/kind of Shore / Gen transfer switch have you?

Re: Power Transfer Switch stuck on Gen pos

Seems to be part of a Bass Products LLC install. Going to fire up the Gen again to confirm symptoms . Thanks

Re: Power Transfer Switch stuck on Gen pos

That’s a Kraus & Naimer [possibly made for, & sold by Blue Sea Systems], AC Rotary Cam Switch - OFF + 2 Positions 120V AC 30A.
I hate them. They fail often.
I’d replace it with [2 Breakers, and] a “Lockout Slide”; which allows only 1 AC circuit breaker [either Shore, or Gen’] to be activated ['On'], at a time. < $20
eg: Blue Sea Systems #4125 ➥ https://www.bluesea.com/products/412...e_2_pos_2_pole
