Rechargeable Batteries

Over the years we have tried several brands of AA size rechargeable battery's. We don't seem to get more than a couple of years our of them before they stop holding a charge. Last year we purchased a new Energizer wall wort charger and 12 Energizer AA battery's. I am already noticing that they aren't hold a charge more than a week. We never charge them using an inverter, its always shore power or by gen set.

So my questions is, what brand of battery's and chargers are you happy with?
