Recommended marine generators 8 - 15 kw

Have had a bad run with a Mase 8.5kw. It uses a Kubota engine. Only 8 months old and seawater pump problematical, short zincs need to be replaced monthly. The genset is unreliable and needs constant servicing. Customer service poor, parts scarce in the US. Would not recommend.

My Mase 11.1 was poorly built . Driven by a Yanmar but the genny unit is in a tray with no drains . A leaking RW hose caused the gen to run in water . Cooked it ! External coating is a joke ,too !

I bought a nextgen genset 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier. Simple unit with no electronics… easy to service and work on.
